

Jesse Cuellar Jr. of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on July 18th at the age of 88. He was born on April,28, 1938 to Jesse and Josephine Cuellar in Houston, TX. After completing his service in the United States Army, he married the love of his life Mary Ann Sanchez in 1965, and together they shared over 57 wonderful years raising three boys, dancing and holding hands. Jesse created a successful residential and commercial painting business, Cuellar Painting Co. and was a founding member of Alief Little League where he would go on to coach many championship & all star teams and positively influence the development of countless young ball players with his passion for the sport. He was a loving and generous father to his three sons and grandkids and exceptionally devoted to his special-needs son Jason. He enjoyed helping people, automobiles and maintaining his home inside and out. He worked tirelessly for the benefit of others and his generosity of spirit attracted a long list of friends and acquaintances. He is survived by his sons Rodney, Jason and Logan, his daughter in law Stephanie, grandchildren Reahna & Phoenix, his sister Emily and many beloved close relatives and family friends.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Southwest Funeral Home, 9040 FM 359 Road, Richmond, TX 77406, US, on August 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, US, on August 8, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
