Richard Maurice Pereira

August 4, 1965 – May 28, 2026

Richard “Rick” Pereira, 60, of Katy, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2026.

Rick was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was known for his strong personality, generous heart, and deep love for his family. Rick was known for speaking his mind and standing firmly by what he believed. He lived life with passion and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Rick took great pride in his work as a CNC machinist and enjoyed the challenge of manufacturing complex parts. He was a skilled craftsman who valued hard work and took satisfaction in seeing the results of his efforts.

Outside of work, Rick enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved welcoming people into his home, firing up the barbecue, and making sure everyone had something to eat or drink. Those who knew Rick will remember his larger-than-life presence, his determination, and his unwavering loyalty to the people he loved.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Lucia Pereira; his daughters, Samantha Pereira and Gabriela Pereira; his parents, Lourdes and Joseph Pereira; his sister, Rosemary Ghelardi; his brother-in-law, Nilson Ghelardi; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Although his passing leaves a tremendous void, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. The family finds comfort in the many memories shared throughout his life and the impact he had on those around him.

The family appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
