

Adam Benjamin Kronk, 21, of Henrico, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born on November 22, 1995, the son of Benjamin Douglass Kronk of Henrico and Bernita Smith Fajardo of King William. He attended Henrico County Schools, graduating from Douglas Southall Freeman High School in 2014, where he was an active member of the marching band, jazz band, pep band and the choral department. Adam was currently enrolled at Longwood University in Farmville as a music education major and would have graduated next spring. He planned on becoming a music teacher and especially enjoyed sharing his love of music with children. He was very active in the Music Department at Longwood, where he played trumpet in the Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble. He also sang in the Camerata Singers and was a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfona Men's music faternity. In addition, he was a member of the Farmville-based Audacity Brass Band and loved playing music with his friends. Adam is survived by his father, Ben; and Ben's special friend, Caroline Mills; his mother, Bernita; his sister, Ashley Outten, her husband, Steven and daughter, Madison of Glen Allen; his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Artz Kronk of Henrico; maternal grandmother, Ruthanna Smith of New York; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A private funeral has been planned. Memorials can be made to the Music Department at Longwood University. Adam will be remembered by his family and friends as a bright, gentle and very talented young man with a big heart, and he will be missed greatly by all of those who loved him.
