

GATEWOOD, Adelaide (Ada) Langford, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2013 to be with her Lord. She was born on February 25, 1924 to Dixie and Addie Langford in Stevensville. Va. She is survived by he two daughters, Dale G. Bateman (Jan), Cheryl G. Cooper (Greg) and one son, Harold M. (Monty) Gatewood (Kathy); grandchildren, Jay Bateman (Heather), Sarah B. Gagnon (Jason), Wesley S Gatewood, William E. Gatewood and Kathryn (Katy) and Denise Baker; Step grandson , Christopher W. Huffman and Alec L. Cooper; great grandchildren, Bea and C.J. Bateman, Ella and Jacob Gagnon; her sister, Lottie L. Williams; brother, Robert E. Langford; numerous nieces, nephews and former son-in-law, Rocky and daughter-in-law Cathy. She deeply loved her family, her friends and people in general. Her deep devotion to the Lord was evidenced by her faithfulness to Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church and her prayer group at West End Assembly of God. A special thank you to the care-givers at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital who expressed concern, and gave loving care to this very precious and unique woman. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond. A service celebrating Ada’s life will be held at 11am Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
