Mrs. Komonchak was one of the kindest and most generous people I have met in my life. Growing up on Capt Shankey Dr and delivering her newspapers in the 1980's and then seeing her work in the school district brings back many fond memories. My sincere condolences and prayers.

Dear Sandy, Rich and families,

Addie and I have known each other since the 1970s, mostly from our work at Farley M.S. and later as friends who enjoyed getting together and sharing stories and a dinner at a local restaurant. She was indeed a very caring and loving and sharp and classy lady.

During visits to her home in Garnerville, she always showed me photographs of all of you and her pride in you and her love for you was very evident. Having her in my life has been both a blessing and an anchor and she will always be a part of my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as your memories of Addie fill your hearts.

Love, Dottie

Our family so appreciates the memories & expressions of sympathy expressed over the past few days. It’s wonderful to hear & read how much our dear Addie is missed & loved. She truly was one of a kind. We learned from her what love is. She gave it readily to family & friends & was ready to help anyone she could. She had courage, empathy, and a sense of humor that could make you laugh until you cried. Rest easy, dearest soul. We will never forget you.

Oh what a wonderful woman! I loved Addie with all my heart. We shared many laughs, sorrows, and awesome memories together at Farley Middle School. Even after she went to join her sister in New Windsor, Margi Chapman and I visited with her. I just couldn't get enough of her thoughts, wisdom, laughter, hugs, and beautiful smile. From Captain Shankey, as my neighbor, to Farley, as my friend and confidant, to New Windsor, as my inspiration and now to heaven, as hopefully my guardian angel, she was and always will be "My Addie", a gracious, lovely soul! We never parted without saying, "I love you" (always have, always will).

Sorry for your loss. We didn't know her but we bought her house in 2013 right before we got married. We are still here and now have 2 boys (5 yrs old and 1 yr old). We will keep her and the Komonchak family in our prayers.

I grew up next door to the Komonchaks and have many fond memories of Mrs. Komonchak and the entire family. Some years ago I had the privilege to introduce my children to her. May she RIP in a joyful reunion with her husband, sister and all her loved one’s.

I Loved her....Still do. She was an awesome woman. She was loved by Admins, faculty staff and students at Farley Middle. When she left Farley after volunteering there for years she left an empty spot in all of us. She lived a good long life. People with great big hearts like Christine Liguori Franco visited her and let her know that she was special to all of us. Saying prayers for her and her family. Rest in Peace Addie... You have earned it! ❤️💔❤️

Addie was a wonderful woman who I had the good fortune to meet while I worked at Farley Middle School. She was a regular in the cafeteria (with Cookie Spata) and I enjoyed sparring with her from time to time each morning when I stumbled in for coffee. She was feisty and we all loved her. I'm sad to hear of her passing. Condolences to her family.
