Andrew Rowland Curtis

CURTIS, Andrew R., "Mickey," 89, of Manakin-Sabot, Va., went to be with the Lord Monday, February 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia "Betty" Curtis. He is survived by his son, Andrew R. Curtis Jr.; and his wife, Sherry, of Matthews County, Va.; his daughter, Debra L. Curtis of Manakin-Sabot, Va.; grandchildren, Andrew H. Curtis of Matthews County, Va. and Kaitlyn L. Curtis of New Kent County, Va. He was the owner of Curtis Contracting, Inc. of West Point, Va.

He served his country as a First Lieutenant in the U.S Army. He was also a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Manakin-Sabot, Va. Mickey was a devoted husband, loving father, avid hunter, fisherman, loyal friend and a true southern gentleman who was well-loved and will be greatly missed by all.

A graveside service and interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va., at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Masks and social distancing are required due to COVID-19 restrictions.
