Death of a loved one can hit us hard. It leaves us feeling lost and dejected in life. It is the most difficult thing in the world to cope from as it leaves a mark on us mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

You can’t just expect to cope from it in a day. It takes time to heal what is broken by the loss of the loved one. It even takes years to fully come out of the mental trauma you must have endured during that time !

It’s probably for the first time that I’m at a complete loss for words. How can I ever pen down something that will come close to being as beautiful as U? 

We said a lot to each other, but a lot was left unsaid. U were taken from us too soon. I know, in our hearts we always knew, and we never needed to say - but didi, I’m taking this opportunity to say, that you were the very best. U taught me the meaning of enjoying each moment & living in the present - but then why aren’t you here - it’s still the present!! 

10 years apart we are - but it never felt that way - u’ve been everything from an older sister to a friend in need, a strict mother to a pampering queen, treating me like a princess. 

Wherever u were, u were always a part of the biggest moments in my life - from calling me singer and forcing me to play the harmonium when I was a shy child to sending me my first ever razor, before I even knew why I’d need it and recently, the heartfelt letter you shared when I wore my bridal attire. Yes, u wanted to be here physically for each of these and other celebrations in my life - but always u have lived them with us in our hearts - and u’ll continue to do so - someone like u can never be forgotten.

In the blink of an eye u did everything for us, whether we said it or not, u always knew what to do right then, to make us happy. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for u to always be so perfect - I always hoped to learn that from u. 

The second we met u in 2010 - u ignored Naman and me - went straight to mom & put a month old Sahas in her arms, saying that ur Mom has come to visit you. No, we weren’t jealous, we knew at that moment that our bond just grew deeper, if ever it could. U made that week one of the best of my life, just by being u. The distance never mattered with you. Mrunal too, u welcomed openly with strict instructions to treat me right. Wish v can come close to you & Jiju

You were the backbone of me always protecting and guiding me, nurturing me , taking care of me. You were the magnet that kept us all connected. I have lost a part of me and no one will ever take a place in my heart where you stand.

Since her childhood, I witnessed Ankita growing from a small baby to a beautiful bride of my son Hemal.  During her childhood, she used to  plead with her dad  to come to visit us in Amdavad from Bombay.  I have a very fond memories of her and her family visiting our farm house and clubs. My friendship with her father Kamalesh turned in to our kids marriage. Ankita accepted me as her father after arriving in our home. She also became my daughter and we had developed a unique bond. She would make me dance with her in every party. Not only she just took care of us, she also filled our lives with happiness. When I spoke with her dad Kamalesh, I always referred Ankita as his son and my daughter. We don’t know how we will be able to cope up with her absence.

“Hi, baby!” Was the way Ankita always greeted me. She was truly the most kind hearted person and always had the biggest smile on her face. She was fun, energetic and a true pleasure to be around. There is not a single time that I can remember where I did not have the best time being around her. Her infectious energy and charismatic personality were so contagious that you were instantly in the best mood and couldn’t help but be happy when in her presence. She will be truly missed by everyone, but I take comfort knowing that the best version of her is here with us in the form of her two sweet boys Sahas and Suhan! Ankita - where do I even start?  I never thought that I would have to write something like this for you.  There have been so many memories from childhood to teen years to being married and as mothers.  It’s unfortunate that God had to take you this early from all of us.
