

Arthur Craig “A.C.” Little, Jr., 78, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife Judie; daughters Kendall Hoffler (Brad) and Katie Wooten (Rob); grandchildren Anna, Jack, William and Ty Hoffler, and Scarlett Wooten; brother Coulter Little (Dianne); and sister Liz Little. He also enjoyed his bonus family Craig Roberson (Diane), Kenneth Roberson (deceased; Michele), and Brian Roberson (Catherine), and their children Ali, Kristie; Chad (deceased), Travis; Caitlin, Tyler, Ella and Carter.
A.C. was born December 24, 1946, in Waynesboro to the late Arthur Craig Little, Sr. and Woody Kerby Little, and graduated from Tucker High School in 1965. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. For thirty-two years, A.C. dedicated himself to teaching business and coaching multiple sports, first at Tucker and then at Hermitage High School. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at both schools, as an athlete (Tucker) and as a coach (Hermitage).
A.C. was an active member of River Road United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer, volunteered on mission trips to rebuild homes in Southwest Virginia, and spent time helping the Ginter Park Food Pantry. In retirement, he worked at the tennis pro shop at Hermitage Country Club and enjoyed playing tennis, attending Virginia Tech football games, rooting for his beloved Boston Red Sox, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, on Tuesday, December 2 from 4-7 p.m. Services will be held at River Road UMC, 8800 River Road, on Wednesday, December 3 at 11 a.m. with reception afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the River Road UMC Mission Fund - Ginter Park Food Pantry.
