Barbara Ann Dorsett Jones, 81, widow of Byron Craig Jones, passed peacefully on May 23, 2025. She is survived by her sons, Warren Jones and Russell Jones, and her sisters, Vickie Owens, Linda Rose, and Diane Jackson.
Barbara was beloved by all those who met her. As an active and devout member of Colonial Place Christian Church she acted as the church librarian and participated in the choir.
She was a bank teller for close to thirty years.
She had a love of games, puzzles, music and, of course, her cat, Gracie.
She was a devoted wife and mother and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. The family will receive friends starting at 12 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. graveside service at Westhampton Cemetery, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
