

VAUGHN, Barbara Phillips, 85, earned her wings on April 7, 2017. She was born in Richmond August 8, 1931, to Florence Appler Phillips and Edgar Peyser Phillips. "Bobbie" was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Kenneth Raymond Vaughn; her sister, Carolyn Phillips Bostic; and her brother, Edgar P. Phillips Jr. "Mike". She is survived by four daughters, Pam Brushwood and her husband, Steve, of Gordonsville, Va., Sandy Loth and her husband, Bill, of Richmond, Va., Jackie Thurston of Unionville, Va. and Kim Mitchell and her husband, Smith, of Loganville, Ga.; stepdaughter, Tina Nicholson and her husband, Mike of Chapel Hill, N.C.; five grandchildren, Chrissy, Ryan, Sean, Dustin and Taylor; six great-grandchildren, Gabe, Rachel, Aleah, Brooke, Madison and Morgan.
Bobbie was a 1949 graduate of John Marshall High School, followed by Pan American Secretarial School. She worked at Thalhimers for many years. She was an avid golfer and donated time to many charities in the Atlanta area. We will miss you Mom, Grandma, Nan-nan, Grammy V and Gigi.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, Va. 23229. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to alz.org or jdrf.org. Online condolences may be sent to woodyfuneralhomeparham
