Carol Hartman Billingsley

Carol Hartman, 80 of Richmond, went to be with the Lord January 5, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Norman A. and Gertrude C. Hartman; and was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Norman and Richard Hartman. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John S. Billingsley Jr.; her three children, John S. Billingsley III and his wife, Cheryl Billingsley, DDS, Paula B. Harrison and her husband, Randy, Linnea B. Rieland and her husband, Robert; her brother, Robert Hartman and his wife, Kay; eight grandchildren, John "Jay" Billingsley IV, Shelley, Will and Lisa Harrison, Tyler, Sydney, Trey and Hayley Rieland. Mrs. Billingsley was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Junior League and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a graduate of Denison University and VCU, with a Masters in Education. Carol had worked at Montaldo's, SHS International and Saks Fifth Avenue. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 4601 Cary St. Entombment will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park Mausoleum.
