

GADKER, Charlene Belle Flesher, 93, of Richmond, formerly of Frankfort, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2013. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. A "proud to be an American" Ohio country girl, she enjoyed selling apples and cider for most of her life. She was gifted artistically, loved traveling, adored animals, made friends easily and wrote great letters, poetry and short stories, but above all else, she loved God and her family.
She was predeceased by her one son, Gary George Gadker; her husband of 66 years, Joseph Gadker; and her son-in-law, Robert E. Ledford Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Joye Gadker Ledford of Richmond, and Christine Knoblaugh (Mark) Dooley of Sunnyvale, Calif.; three grandchildren, Robert E. (Stacey) Ledford III of Kansas City, Mo., Angie Ledford (Samuel) Hutchison of Richmond and Monica Christine Knoblaugh of Sunnyvale, Calif; five great-grandchildren, Carter Joseph Ledford, Kyle David Ledford, Kaitlyn Nicole Ledford, Tyler McLean Hutchison and Margaret Joye (Molly) Hutchison, all of Richmond; and extended family member, Barbara H. Ledford of Richmond.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Services and burial will be in Frankfort, Ohio. The family is thankful for the TLC received from the nursing staff at Morningside Assisted Living in the West End and also the Medi Home Help and Hospice.
