80, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eleanor Prince; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl F. Prince. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary F. Prince; children, Chuck (Sandi), Elizabeth (Russell), Jimmy, Susan, Stuart (Joyce) and Donald (Claudia); 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Charles worked for the railroad (ending with Amtrak) for 40 years. He loved his checkers and card playing, but later in life he began to bowl. Charles loved to travel, but more than anything, he would get in the car and just ride. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va., with a visitation one hour prior. A mausoleum service will follow at 2 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va.
