Christopher Knowles Buczacki

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Knowles Buczacki, a man of endless laughter and love of his family. Christopher was born November 8, 1976 in West Point, New York and left this life July 26, 2026 at his home in Henrico, Virginia. Through his journey of 49 years, he touched many lives with his booming voice, humor, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.

Christopher married the love of his life Stephanie Rowland on October 1, 2011. This momentous occasion was surpassed only by his greatest accomplishment of becoming a dad to their two sons Finnegan and Oliver. They were his pride and joy and most prized possessions. He never missed an opportunity to patiently teach the boys life lessons and share his wisdom - from woodworking to chivalry his sons learned from the best. But most importantly he never missed a chance to tell Steph and the boys how much he loved them.

Driven by an endless thirst for adventure Christopher lived his life out loud with his booming voice, mischievous spirit and endless jokes. To have known Christopher was to be fiercely loved, always encouraged and endlessly teased. He championed all those around him and was generous with his time and love.

A devoted father, son and brother, he is survived also by his parents John and Beverly Buczacki, siblings Douglas, Anne Marie, Mary Katherine and Laura, brother-in-laws Scott and Jason and nieces and nephews- Sophia, Delilah, Ryder, Cole and Lola Belle.

Christopher‘s legacy of humor, loyalty, and dedication will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His gregarious personality will forever be an inspiration. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

His daily advice to his sons is a message to hold in our hearts:

“Be a leader. Be adventurous. Be wild. Be weird. But most of all have fun and be yourself.”

A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held in November 2026.
