Daniel Robert Kitchen

Daniel Robert Kitchen, 64, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Claire Kitchen. Dan is survived by Sarah (Sally) Perkins, his best friend and longtime love; and his sister, Patricia Mathewson. He was an Anglophine, a lover of all sports, an avid reader and a special friend to a host of humans and felines. Dan was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He was also a Paul Harris fellow and was actively involved as a Special Olympics coach. He was enjoying his recent retirement by traveling, working-out at the gym and spending time with friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls; Scotchtown, care of Preservation Virginia; or The Special Olympics.
