David L West

David Lile West, 75, of Richmond, Virginia, son of Edward E. and Alma W. West, passed away peacefully with his family on Friday, May 20, 2011. He is survived by his three children, Anne West Neurohr and husband, Rick, Timothy Lile West, Elizabeth West Canar and husband, Cleveland; three grandchildren, Meredith, Abigail, and Benjamin Neurohr. He is also survived by his five sisters, Eugenia W. Ferrell, Joanne W. Stebick, Elizabeth W. Nuttycombe, Mary Faith West, and Kathleen W. Straight; and two brothers, Beverley W. West, and Stephen N. West. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward E. West, Jr. and John S. West. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and was a veteran of the US Army. David was employed by and part owner of West Engineering Company Inc., the Ashland-based business his father founded in 1919, where he contributed to its success for over 50 years. He was member of Second Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years where he also served as a deacon and he was a supporter of the Richmond Symphony. On Wednesday, May 25, a grave side service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11:00 AM with a Memorial service at Second Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Second Presbyterian Church.
