I worked with Donnie for a number of years at Green Top. What struck me most about Donnie when I first met him was the genuine interest he had in his customers, his honesty, integrity and work ethic. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Donnie, I know you are already up in heaven with a LC Smith in hand, hunting over top of a English Setter on point. My condolences to Martha and the family. Donnie you will be missed.

A favorite cousin! We had such a great time in high school...it was nice to share the class of ‘68 with another Eddleton . We had the best kind of history! Donnie’s Dad Earnest was my Dad’s cousin and in my parents wedding in 1948! Needless to say the bond was always there even though I saw him infrequently after high school.
I am so sorry for your loss. He will never be forgotten.
PS: My brother, Ronnie shared the Eddleton look of long legs, arms and height with Donnie. I was always fascinated by how they looked like brothers.
Love to all!

Over the years, I have spent far too much time at Greentop but I always looked forward to entering and hearing Donnie say, "Hi, Doc". He was a good friend and a tremendous asset for his employer because of his knowledge and his way with people. I was distressed when he retired and even more distressed to know he is no longer with us. Godspeed, Donnie.

Hello Martha, I never met you, but feel I know you having known Donnie since the first day he started working at Green Top. I haven't been by there lately so I was late receiving the news of your loss. Donnie was such a good friend to me and so many other people. I don't think there was anybody who frequented Green Top that didn't know and respected him. We were approximately the same age and as such had much in common. Donnie had such a rare personality these days. He was always the same person no matter what. A good friend, a kind and polite southern gentleman and most of all a proud patriotic American. You and your family were certainly blessed and I too having known him all these years. God Bless you and yours. Johnny Jones

We took many classes together at Patrick Henry. He was always a gentleman (and a snappy dresser). RIP

Condolences to your family. I'm sure you'll be sorely missed.

I worked with Donnie 40 years while at Green Top. He is one of the finest individuals I have ever met. His honesty, loyalty, and integrity made him special, and he was always a true Marine. Taken too early, I am thankful for the memories.
