THOMAS, Doris A., 76, passed away May 12, 2017, in Richmond, Va. She was born November 4, 1940 in West Point, Va., to parents, William and Bessie Adams, who, along with her brother, Wayne Adams, and her husband, Bruce P. Thomas, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Thomas; son-in-law, Curtis Seay; sisters-in-law, Donna Adams and Libbie Thomas; her brother-in-law, Kenneth A. (Pat) Thomas Sr.; stepfather, Jim Brown; and two sisters, Marion and Iris; and numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from John Marshall High School and retired from the State of Virginia Department of Social Services as an accountant.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17 and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18, followed by her funeral service at 1 p.m., at Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229.
