Dorothy Barbara Hennig, 89, of Richmond, Va. passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, February 23rd. 2018. Barbara is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, Dick Hennig; son, Bill (Cheryl) Hennig; son, Jack (Donna) Hennig; son, Jim (Laura) Hennig and six grandchildren; Erin Hennig, Aimee (Scott) Hasinger, Julia Hennig, Daniel Hennig, Wyatt Hennig, and Brock Hennig.
Barbara was born in Pasadena, Ca. and grew up in Arizona before settling in Richmond to raise her family. She was an avid sports fan of her children and grandchildren, a voracious reader, and volunteered her time to support local charities.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, March 1st at the Woody Funeral Home – Parham Chapel, located 1771 N. Parham Rd; with visitation starting one hour prior at 2:00PM.
