Mr. Edouard Diran Arslanian

Edouard Diran Arslanian was born on June 5, 1950, in Lebanon, to Diran and Arshalouys Arslanian. The second of six children, Edouard grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and love for his family. He selflessly set aside his education to help support his parents and siblings, embodying a spirit of sacrifice and dedication from an early age.

Blessed with a deep passion for cars, Edouard became a master bodyman—respected for his craftsmanship and unwavering work ethic. He took great pride in his work, continuing in his trade until a recent injury forced him to stop.

In April 1978, Edouard married the love of his life, Guilda Arslanian, at Karasoun Manoug Armenian Church in Lebanon. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children: Diran, Greg, and Arlene. A devoted husband and father, Edouard was also a cherished grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Edouard’s greatest joy came from his family. He was a man of immense kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, especially through his beloved grandchildren: Jackson, Daniel, Elianna, Tro, Sophia, and Sarkis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Guilda Arslanian; his children Diran Arslanian (Talar Arslanian), Greg Arslanian, and Arlene Arslanian-Jones (Daniel Arslanian-Jones); and his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Edouard’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to hard work, love, and selflessness—qualities that will continue to inspire his family and friends for generations to come.

A visitation for Edouard will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St James Armenian Church, 834 Pepper Ave, Richmond, VA 23226. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM, 834 Pepper Ave, Richmond, VA 23226. A committal service will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Henrico, VA 23238.
