JC was born in Stanley, Virginia on July 10, 1932 to Eula Virginia Clem and Elmer Davis Clem, Sr.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,
JC loved his country and proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
JC enjoyed a successful career for many years as an insurance broker before retiring in 2000.
JC is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Florence Broaddus Clem; a daughter, Dena Marie
Smith; and a son, Elmer “E.D.” Davis Clem, III (Debbie). JC will also be lovingly remembered by
4 grandsons, Daniel (Alana), Douglas (Nicole), Benjamin (Amanda), and Tyler (Jenny). JC
dearly loved his 8 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Preston Levi, Maddox, Ezra, Avery, Braden, and
Roman.
A funeral service to remember JC will be held Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00AM at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. with Rev. Chuck Ward officiating. A grave-side service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at JC’s home following the burial.
