Elmer Theodore "Ted" Ritenour Jr.

RITENOUR, Elmer Theodore "Ted" Jr., 73, of Henrico County, passed away April 22, 2014. He was born August 7, 1940 in Front Royal, Va. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Elmer T. Ritenour Sr.; and his stepfather, Lee Montgomery. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara C. Ritenour; his mother, Louise Ritenour Montgomery; his three sons, Dennis C. Ritenour and his wife Cullisa, Jeffery Dale Ritenour and Christopher P. "Chip" Ritenour and his wife June; two grandchildren, Ross Ellis and Royce Baber; one brother, Donald Ritenour and wife Kimberly; three nephews, Andrew, Christopher and Alex; two nieces, Meridith and Lindsey; Ted graduated from Warren County High School, in Front Royal, Va., in 1958. He attended college at RPI in Richmond, majoring in business. He worked for 3M Company in the office products division until he founded The Headliners Company's on Patterson Ave.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 25, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. with a reception to follow. The family wants to thank the doctors and nurses at Virginia Cancer Institute on Forest Ave. for the love and care they have given him.
