Ernestine House Starke

Ernestine "Neene" House Starke, from Bracey, Va., formerly of Richmond, Va., went to be with her Lord on April 5, 2011. Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband Percy A. Starke; parents, Mildred Moseley and Percy L. House; sister, Mary Creasman; and brothers, Percy Lee House and James "Jack" House.

She is survived by her sisters, Laurice Sizer and husband Wes, Betsy W. Baird and husband Aubrey; her devoted nieces Deborah B. Lukens and husband Billy, Linda B. McLaughlin and their children Jonathan W. Lukens and Jennifer M. Trescot and husband Charles; step sons, Barry Starke and wife Lauren, Terry Starke and wife Louise; grandchildren, Theresa S. Pines and Deborah S. Justice, great grandchildren, Sean Pines and Ryan Pines, many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church and currently attended Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Bracey, Va.

Ernestine was employed by Liggett Myers Tobacco, Phillip Morris and later became a Nurse. She loved being with her family, the family pets, working with flowers and caring for her special cat "Bob".

Services will be held at 1pm, on, Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, conducted by Rev. Michael Robinson and Rev. Michael Day. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
