Eunice Modlin Turner

Eunice M. Turner, 88 of Portsmouth and previously Richmond, Va. went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was born to the late Henry and Roxanne Modlin on March 31, 1926, in Jamesville, NC.

Eunice was preceded in death by Garrett Turner, her beloved husband of almost 40 years. She is survived by her daughters, Anne & Bryant Barnes, Ruth & Michael Lapointe, grandchildren: Valerie Anne Lapointe, Julia Elizabeth Lapointe, Donnie Barnes, Courtney Mason Burruss, nieces and nephews: David Modlin, Bill Tillman, Grady Davenport, Irvin Davenport, Elizabeth Gualtier, Charles Veach, cousins: Dot Stone, Joyce Hardison, Nell Bowen, Ken Modlin, Raymond Lawrence Modlin, Ann Sanders, Beth Wright, William White, Dan Cross, Miriam Pendleton, Mary Winston Briggs.

Pallbearers: David Modlin, Grady Davenport, Irvin Davenport, Michael Lapointe, Donnie Barnes, Tommy Burruss

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at the Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, Va. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with a Memorial service following at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church.
