

TYLER, Evelyn Elizabeth Wine, 95, died Friday, August 11, 2017, at Lexington Court, Richmond Va., where she had been a resident for six months. Born in Norfolk, Va., on November 9, 1921, Mrs. Tyler was the daughter of the late Polly Elizabeth Hall and John Murdock Midgett. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chester Allen Wine of Richmond and William Samuel Tyler of Mechanicsville, Va. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Allen Keith Wine of Saraland, Ala. and John Ray Wine of Richmond. Wine Owens of Chickasaw, Ala. and Jeanne Kristin Wine Cox of Moseley, Va.; great-grandsons, Robert Allen Sturtz of Mobile, Ala. and Reagan Thomas Cox of Moseley; and great-granddaughters, Kathryn Weiss Cox and Caroline Elizabeth Cox of Moseley. Mrs. Tyler was raised in Norfolk. She was a Navy wife of 30 years and was beloved by all her family and friends. Mrs. Tyler was a dedicated wife and mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother and she never met a stranger.
