Frances McGlothlin Borkey

BORKEY, Frances McGlothlin, 84, of Richmond, Va., passed away February 14, 2012. A Richlands, Va. native, she was the daughter of the late John Wyatt and Kathleen McGlothlin. She received her B.A. Degree from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia in 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Everett Borkey Jr.; her beloved son, Cecil E. "Trippy" Borkey III; and her brothers, Thurman, Ernest "Cotton" and Cecil "Teadle" McGlothlin. She is survived by her daughters, Anne B. Fath and her husband, Scott, and Sharon B. Parsons and her husband, Dean; three grandchildren, H. Dean "Trey" Parsons III, Brittany Anne Parsons and Scott Everett Fath; one sister, Una Lee "June" Bailey; two brothers, James L. McGlothlin and his wife, Betty, and Norman R. McGlothlin and his wife, Mabel; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Doris McGlothlin; and in-laws, Audrey and Gordon Torrence, Walt Franklin Borkey and Mitzi Yundt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Lakewood Cemetery, Bowling Green, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
