CHAFFINS, Frances S., 89, of Richmond, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends, November 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Phillips; and her husband, Archie M. Chaffins.
She is survived by her children; Thomas J. and Crystal Phillips, Dennis J. and Peggy Phillips, David A. and Ann Chaffins, and Martha J. Perdue; her brother Hugh Slagle; sister, Joan Tucker; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She was a member of The Eastern Star, The Richmond Womens Club, and St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, November 22, 2014, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 1101 Forest Ave., Richmond, Va 23229. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
