
Mrs. Fife was born in Dallas, Texas on Feb. 6, 1932, the daughter of Claude F. Horton and Frances DeBogory Horton.
She liked to say that she had lived a "rich and varied life", enjoying travel with her family and fishing on the beach.
When it came to her work life she loved to "start something new". She founded the guidance department at Montgomery County High School in Montgomery County, New Jersey and built a new Career Development office at Ryder College, also in New Jersey.
While in the Chicago area, she took charge of Management Development for Women at Motorola.
After moving to Richmond, VA, she became Executive Director of the National Alliance of Business, then went on to start a consulting firm, Martin and Rosi, with her good friend Ruby Martin. Finally, she became an independent contractor for Circuit City.
She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Goochland County.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Russo and Margaret Bassett and her stepdaughter, Bree Crispens, as well as 3 stepchildren from her third marriage to William F. Fife; Scot Fife, Susan Occoquan, and Cindy White.
Additionally, she leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
