MARTIN, Franklin Elwood "Tony" Sr., 87, of Richmond, joined his loving wife of 62 years, Katherine Jean Martin on February 17, 2014. He retired as an electrical engineer from VEPCO after 32 years of service. He is survived by his three children, Amy Horneman (Philip), Franklin E. Martin Jr. (Melody), and Rose Marie Martin; two sisters, Patti Rose Saunders and Judith Ann Thatcher; brother, Berkley Spillman Martin; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Brian, Megan, Gatlin, Sean, and Jacob; three great-grandchildren, Clarise, Colby, and Jackson. Mr. Martin was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd.
