Frederic Church Rose

ROSE, Frederic Church, "Fred," passed away peacefully April 28, 2021. He was born in Richmond, Va., June 15, 1955. Fred was a talented and gentle man who, despite disabilities, lived a full and rich life. As a child, he would catch and cradle bumble bees in his hands, place them in jars and soon release them to freedom. He was a natural musician who could play anything by ear, read music and compose. Fred was predeceased by Jean Burroughs Rose (mother); Leslie William Rose Jr., MD (father); Mary Kaye Molloy Rose (stepmother); Jean Rose Snowa (sister); and James Douglas Snowa Jr. (nephew). He is survived by his loving aunt, Maria Burroughs Livingston; his brother, Leslie William Rose III, MD; and sisters, Isabel Merchant Rose and Debbye Molloy Silva. He is also survived by seven nieces. His family is forever grateful to Margaret Lindstrom, RN and others at the Ivyhouse Group Home who loved and cared for Fred during his last years. Ms. Lindstrom provided Fred happiness and enabled him to pursue his musical and other interests. Private funeral arrangements by family.
