George Edward Koenig, 78, of Goochland, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kowalewski and husband, Anthony. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Koenig; five children, Daneille Koenig, Mannette Koenig, Scott Koenig, Kelly Smith and husband, Jeff, and Jamie Branch and husband, John; two brothers, Edward Koenig and wife, Patsy, and Raymond Koenig and wife, Linda; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Victory Christian Fellowship in Goochland.
