Harriet Brown Parrish

PARRISH, Harriet Brown, 98, widow of Earl A. Parrish Jr., passed away March 11, 2013. She was born in Staunton, Va., but grew up in Richmond. Surviving are daughters, Jeannette Jackson and spouse, Bill Jackson, of North Carolina, Patricia Ennis and spouse, Doug Ennis, of Florida; sister, Dorothy Brown Young and spouse, William Young, of Virginia; grandchildren, Bob Jackson, Chris Jackson, Christine Ennis Pank, Michael Ennis, all of Florida, and Jennifer Jackson of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Sydney Jackson, Megan and Kristen Jackson, all of North Carolina, Alexandra and Brittany DePalma, Michael Ennis Jr., Justin and Austin Pank, Devin and Dylan Davis, all of Florida. Her hobbies included reading and watching NASCAR racing. In 1996, she had the pleasure of meeting her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Visitation is Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home -Parham. Services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the funeral home, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia.
