

Harriett Ann Nardo, of Richmond, Va., peacefully passed away on September 16, 2015 with her family by her side. Ann was a dedicated and devoted Catholic, wife, mother and grandmother. Ann devoted her life to her family and her church. She was born the youngest of six children to the late John J. and Harriet F. Roden Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas S. Nardo; her brother Robert M. Roden; her beloved son, Stephen T. Nardo (Carol) of Midlothian; and six grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, Tanner and Elise Nardo and Alex and Catherine Burton. Nan, as many called her, was incredibly proud of her family and their accomplishments. She was devoted to creating a loving home and became a second mom to many. Ann could light up the room with her smile and will live forever in the hearts for all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sun., Sept. 20 at Woody Funeral Home – Parham, 1771 N. Parham Rd., A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Mon., Sept. 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Rd., where she and her husband were members for 50 years, followed by a reception. She will be interred at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 9505 Gayton Road, Richmond, VA, 23229.
