Harry James Moses

Harry James Moses (Pablo) a native of Anniston, AL transitioned in death on Thursday, August 20,2026 in Henrico, Virginia. He was born on February 15, 1942, the second child, to Juanita Kennedy and Vardry Aaron Moses, Sr. He graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1959 and an alumnus of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. Harry was also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Upon graduation from FAMU, he began his teaching career in the Americus, Georgia public school system. He later elevated his career to the collegiate level, when he accepted a position at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. While at DSU he served in several capacities, ranging from recruiting, financial aid but primarily coaching intramural and club sports.

Harry was a nature and wildlife aficionado and a true humanitarian.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Damien A. Moses of Bartow, Florida in 2021. He is survived by his son, Dr. Kahlil V. Moses of West Palm Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Damien F. Moses of Apopka, Florida, Karen D. Moses of Boston, Massachusetts and Kason J.V. Moses of West Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Trudy M. Munford of Anniston, Alabama and Juanita K. Moses of Henrico, Virginia; nephew Michael D. Moses of Taiwan, East Asia; and niece Karen Moses Martin of San Diego, California.
