

MARKS, Hazel Harman, 91, went to be with her Lord on October 31, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John Edward "Eddie" Marks; and their two daughters, Mary Marks Littlejohn and her husband, Leonard, and Betty Marks Rennie. Hazel had three wonderful grandchildren, Elizabeth Rennie Lungut and her husband, Kris, Andrew Marks Littlejohn and his fiancée, Kathryn Wilson, and Catherine Louise Rennie.
A native Richmonder, Hazel lived her entire life in the Richmond area. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School, class of 1941. Hazel was a past president of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Richmond Pharmaceutical Association and a national past president of the Women's Organization of the National Association of Retail Druggists. She was a member of the Tri-Club Women's Club. Hazel was a long-time member of Derbyshire Baptist Church, where she was a charter member of the Koinonia Sunday school class. Hazel was a 43-year breast cancer survivor. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Hazel will be missed. Her family expresses appreciation to her caregiver, Loretta Young, and her cardiologist, Dr. Steven Cross.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, from 2 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, November 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Parham Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home. The burial will be Wednesday, November 6, at 10 a.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at Derbyshire Baptist Church at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
