She was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Helen Long, her brothers, Norman Jr., Howard and Charles.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Madonna Southcott, her daughter, Suzanne Harris, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Helen worked 34 years for the U.S. Army as a financial analyst. Before moving to Virginia in 2017, Helen lived in Sebastian, Florida.
A memorial service in Florida will take place in January, 2023.
