Dr. Horace Philip Johnson III, 66, of Richmond VA, passed away August 26, 2017. He was survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Johnson; daughter, Elizabeth Peimer; mother, Joy Johnson; sister, Sheila Dailey; sister, Charlotte Doyle; and brother Tony Johnson.
Phil attended Hampton Sydney on a full academic scholarship and then pursued the field of dentistry and endodontics at MCV. He was the chief resident at MCV in his second year. He practiced in Richmond, Fort Worth, and northern VA. Phil loved playing golf as much as he could with his friends at CCV. He was an incredibly devoted husband and father. Phil had a long bout with Pulmonary Fibrosis and is now at peace.
A memorial service will be held at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229, on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
