Dr. Jack Walden Chevalier

Dr. Jack Walden Chevalier, 89, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Dr. Chevalier was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Millie Harrell Chevalier; his son, Stephen Harrell Chevalier; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis Chevalier; and his brother, Paul, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Margi Walden Chevalier and his daughter-in-law, Dale Hines Chevalier. Jack attended Richmond public schools (Ginter Park, Chandler and Thomas Jefferson), Hampden Sydney College, and graduated from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1952. He served two years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corp at Paris Island, SC and as the Dental Officer aboard the USS Mississippi. He returned to Richmond in 1954 and practiced general dentistry until retirement in 2008. Jack was a life member and past president of the Richmond, Virginia American Dental Associations and was also a life member of Hermitage Country Club. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, and working around the house and yard. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 3-6 pm at Woody Funeral Home - Parham Rd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The burial will take place at 1:30 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
