BUCHANAN, James F. Jr. "Buck," 90, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at home August 20, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Virginia; his brother, Robert; and his three half-brothers. He is survived by his three sons, Jimmy and his wife, Sharon, Tommy and his wife, Peggy, and Mike and his wife, P.J.; sister, Alice and her husband, Rob; sister-in-law, Mildred; and one half-brother. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jim, Keith, Laurie, Jennifer, and Courtney; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Buck was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired from RF&P Railroad after 47 years of service, and was a longstanding member of Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd., where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
