

James J., 90, of Richmond, widower of Alice M. Dwyer, his wife of 60 years. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy. He was a retired employee of MCV after 50 dedicated years of service. He is survived by two daughters, Eileen Gaddy and her husband, William, Margaret Roberson and her husband, Larry; three sons, Daniel Dwyer and his wife, Jacqueline, Thomas Dwyer and his wife, Vivian, and Kevin Dwyer and his wife, Laura; three sisters, Sister Eileen Dwyer, Mae Kennedy, Birdie Comerford; five granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Dwyer, Abby Roberson, Alix and Catherine Gaddy, and Michelle Dwyer; six grandsons, Chris and Anthony Dwyer, William Gaddy Jr., James and Patrick Dwyer, and John Roberson; and his special friend, David Droppleman. Mr. Dwyer was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at St. Mary's Catholic Church, a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital and a ambassador for the State Fair of Virginia. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Rd., and where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 3, at 1 p.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
