Grew up with Taylor.  Went to different elementary schools, but began playing Midget League football for the Jaycees in fourth grade.  Always an easy going fellow!  Photo is from my cousin Jim’s wedding around 1977.

I met Taylor about 7 years ago. He was damn good at his job.  And he quickly became much more than an Outside Sales guy calling on me.  If he called me unexpectedly from my company lobby, I would always go out to see him. I would make time because it was Taylor.  Any Purchasing people reading this know you don't have many relationships like this. We talked about our lives and family and how fast that new Caddy was.  He never told me his first name was James though!! It felt like we had known each other for 20 years.  I wish we had. Taylor just had this natural ability to make you feel at ease with him.  I'll miss greeting him in the lobby with "Man you can't get any uglier" and him replying " I still ain't as ugly as you!"
Then a hand skake and "How you been my friend?"   

Taylor "Coach" Frazier was an extraordinary individual. Not only was he a mentor to me early in my career at Ryerson Metals, he was a friend I could rely on. I loved his golfing stories. I truly enjoyed hanging out with Coach talking about anything under the sun. He will be missed and he was a special person. He will have the angels laughing day one.

I’ve known and enjoyed working with Taylor for over 20 years as a long-term customer of the companies he represented. In a highly competitive environment, they became key suppliers to the machinery manufacturing companies I worked for. He knew his stuff and he developed important relationships with our managers, shop floor personnel and engineers.
A number of years ago I was shocked when he told me he was leaving his long career in the metals market to one in pneumatic control systems. I knew he could handle the sales part but learning the technical aspects well enough to be successful in that arena was another animal. But of course, he’s done remarkably well in that too. Very impressive.
And he was a good friend to me for all those years. That’s the best part. He was a blessing. I won’t forget.

I will always remember when we first met and became coworkers,  of course we talked about where we were from, small world, I found out that Taylor had lived in the same small town I am from and had went to the same elementary my husband had gone to.  That made us forever friends.  Also, the kind works of encouragement to me during my time when my husband had his health issues will never be forgotten.  He was always showing such kindness and thoughtfulness.  Melanie, you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
