McBRIDE, James Edward, widower of Lil McBride, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the age of 96. He is survived by his niece, Sara McBride of Richmond, two great-nieces and a great-nephew. He is also survived by his late wife's nieces, Jane Smith and Peggy Marquis. He served in the Navy during World War II and was retired from Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company. Graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakewood Benevolent Fund, 1900 Lauderdale Drive, Richmond, Va. 23238.
