Jay Lawrence Worden

Jay Lawrence Worden, 64 of Wake, Va. went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2020 after an injury due to a fall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and India Worden; parents-in-law, Edith and George Pruden; brothers-in-law, Nelson Pruden and Glenn Pruden. Jay is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Pruden Worden; his son, Chris Worden (Ashley); grandsons, Chase and Blake; daughter, Carrie Worden Allen (Sonny); brothers-in-law, Buddy Pruden (Pat), Eston Pruden (Estelle), Robert Pruden (Pam); and sister-in-law, Debbie Pruden; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jay worked in the Automotive Body Shop business from age 14 to 62, when he retired. He was involved in Nascar for many years with his nephew Todd Pruden. Jay had a love for cooking, his motorcycle, fishing in Hatteras and all of his dogs. He enjoyed life and having fun! He loved his wife, children and family very much.
