Kendall and Leslie,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I started working at the VCU RRTC in March 1996 when I met your mom. Your mom was such a special lady. She was beautiful inside and out, funny, talented, competent, sweet, fun-loving.... and she loved you girls. That was evident when she talked about the family, your grandmother
( the artist if I am recalling that correctly) and at that time , Anna and Jack.
I lost my mother to Alzheimners in 2006 and I know how very hard that is. I hope all the great memories you have of your mom will comfort you and your families. I hope she danced through those pearly gates and hugged her sister and toasted with her family who was saving a place for her!
With my sympathy and prayers,

I was sorry to learn of Jeanne's passing. I worked with her for several years at VCU. I loved her smile and laughter, and to hear about her experiences in the Shag Club! My condolences to her family and friends for their loss of a wonderful person.

I met Jeanne through the Richmond Shag Club. She was a wonderful dancer. Jeanne and I went on to become good friends and especially enjoyed an afternoon of lunch and shopping together. I've missed seeing her for awhile now, but am glad she is at peace.

I didn’t know your mother well but when I think of her I see her beautiful smile. Basil and I used to see her at various beach music events that we attended and after he passed I saw her at the Richmond Shag Club several times. We always spoke for a few minutes and she was sweet and kind. Cherish the happy memories from all the good years. She will be watching over you from above. ❤️
