Jeanne E. Wallace

Wallace, Jeanne Elizabeth, 92, of Richmond, passed away on April 7, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Joseph W. Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Susan W. Carter (Mark) and grandson, Bryan of Yorktown, Virginia; her son, William A. Wallace (Cathi) of Wilson, NC; her daughter, Mary Jo Wallace of Richmond. She was born Jeanne Elizabeth Seibel in Defiance, OH in 1922. She was valedictorian of Defiance High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH in 1944 where she became an 8th grade Math and English teacher. After marriage Jeanne and Joe relocated to Louisville, KY where her three children were born. They moved to Richmond in 1958, and she became a full-time homemaker. She was a founding member of the Henrico County Homemaker’s Extension Club and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses who cared for her at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital. Following Jeanne’s wishes, the family will not hold a public service.
