Jerolene McKay Jennings

Jerolene “Jerry” McKay Jennings, 90, of Richmond, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Jerry was born on October 18, 1932, in Worsham, Virginia to the late Raynard Hayden and Audrey Authur McKay. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, William A. Jennings, III; brothers, Curtis McKay (Nancy) and Charles “Charlie” McKay (Patsy). Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Keith Hayden Jennings (Joyce), brother Bernard McKay (Ann); and sister, Ann Carol Barton (Charles); grandsons, Blake Jennings, and Bryce Jennings (Julia); and great-grandson, Luke; and a host of nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Bernard and Ann for their love and loyalty. Their regular visits and companionship meant the world to Jerry. Thank you also to the staff at Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield for their kindness and compassionate care. Jerry loved her room at Commonwealth and enjoyed the special attention she received from the staff. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
