Johanna (Joann) Nargi, 81, of Richmond, VA (formerly of Roseland, NJ) passed away on September 21, 2021.
Joann was born on November 9, 1939, and was raised in the town of Bloomfield, NJ. She received a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She married Louis Nargi on February 19, 1966, and for more than 50 years they resided in Roseland, NJ, where they raised their three children.
Joann enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and “grand puppies” the latter of which she was known to feed too much turkey just prior to long car trips. She loved her dog, Leo and enjoyed taking him on walks in South Mountain Reservation and Grover Cleveland Park, both in NJ. She also enjoyed baking and spending time at home taking care of her backyard pets – which included squirrels, birds and neighborhood cats who wandered by for a meal. She also enjoyed listening to music and learning about Poland, the home country of her parents.
Joann is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Nargi. She is survived by daughter Susie Nargi; son-in-law, Derek Hoar; and grandchildren, Sophie and Griffin of Chapel Hill, NC; daughter, Jennie Aizenman; son-in-law, Carlos Aizenman; and grandchildren, Clara and Pablo of Providence, RI; and daughter, Bobbie Carey, son-in-law, Pat Carey; and grandchildren, Owen and Nate of Mechanicsville, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Klementyna Kropiewnicki; and her sisters, Danna Green and Krystina Hunt.
