John Elton Holland

Born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia.  As a Class A Master Plumber and HVAC contractor, he founded and operated Holland Heating and Air Conditioning.

 He was preceded in death by Rebecca ‘Becca’ Michelle Kearney a granddaughter.  John is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Boyer Holland, and his children: Rebecca Mae Holland Kearney (Marty), Joan “Dodie” Holland Thomas, and John Elton Holland Jr. (Caroline). He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Katherine Kearney Bull (John), Walter Olen Thomas III, S. Patrick Kearney Jr. (Lacey), Joan Claire Kearney Izzo (Joe), C. Huston Thomas (Megan), H. Max Thomas, John E. Holland III (Hannah), and Madison Holland Mt. Joy (Alyssa), along with many beloved great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Monday, July 21, with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:30 PM and a reception, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229
