Karin Marie (Stangholm) Lambert

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Eva, 26, several cousins in Norway, and many devoted friends and colleagues. Karin was born in Oslo, Norway to Bernt Kristoffer Stangholm and Eva Skaar Stangholm. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her husband of 26 years, Dennis Edward Lambert of Richmond and Woodstock, VA.

Karin graduated from the University of Richmond where she was affectionately known by friends as “Stangie.” As a young girl, Karin was raised between Norway and the US, but settled into adult life in the states. Feeding into her love of travel, she lived in many major cities both here and abroad before marrying and settling in Richmond, where she spent the majority of her life. Karin worked in the commercial banking industry, most recently with Primis Bank. She will be deeply missed by friends and family and will be remembered for her love of life, strength, and independence as well as her love of Birkenstocks.

A visitation will be held on Thursday June 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond VA 23229. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice to honor Karin.
