Larry was an artist, craftsman, and poet who loved creative projects and spending time with his family in Virginia and North Carolina. For many years he was known as "Coach Larry" to the young athletes of the Providence Athletic League. He worked numerous creative roles before becoming business owner and operator of Mitchell Towing, simultaneously fulfilling his desire to service the local community and honoring his late father's love for automobiles. Larry was well respected amongst his community for his thoughtfulness, humor, and generosity.
"Larry is survived by his mother Georgetta Mitchell and three children Larry Mitchell Jr.(nicknamed LJ), Morgan Mitchell, and May Mitchell."
